EUREKA
I find that when I jump out of the bath tub and run across town naked, I get arrested.
I find when I think my gold products are 24K., the hock shop owner declares they are not even 12K.
I find when my hair is gold, I have more fun.
I find the golden years are really tin.
I find there's gold in these hills..... EUREKA

Delightfully amusing - especially the opening lines. Chuckles!
ReplyDeleteWonderful word play, from the first line to the last! You've left me smiling... great job! And being of the near sixty set, I'd have to agree about the "golden years" - fool's gold for sure!:-)
ReplyDeleteDiscovery is a usually wonderful thing except when you look inwards. Great post.

ReplyDeleteFirst time here, thx to Sun. Scribs! Loved this, especially all the metallic analogies. Me, I'm in my Silver Years, and they are Golden, indeed. Hope yours become that when you get there, and thanks, Kay! Amy

Thanks for the comment on mine. Yours was the first I read and I thought - wow - now I'm inspired. So thank you for the inspiration.
