TONGUE IN CHEEK(SUNDAY SCRIBBLES)
I always write with "tongue in cheek."
When my neighbors take a peek
In the local weekly paper
To check my latest silly caper,
Don't they really realize
That it's just a pack of lies?
It makes me feel like a sneak,
Alas, it's only "tongue in cheek."

The beauty of writing that you can transform yourself into a completely different character that may indeed surprise...even you.

ReplyDeleteThat's funny, it makes me think of a small town and all types of talk. How easy it must be to turn yourself into quite a riot. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny, witty, and true. Some people are incapable of finding humour. We used to call them 'scandal mongers'.
ReplyDeleteI do live in the woods near small towns. I write an article for two town's weekly newspapers; people actually think most of what I write is TRUE.... they don't understand writing!!!
